Tree Textures on a Rainy Day

It was raining for several days in Tbilisi. Usually I prefer to be at home looking out at the rainy city from my window but not in summer! I absolutely adore walking in the rain, jumping in puddles and sometimes, when no one is watching, I even dance.

And of course I love taking photographs while people are trying to find a sheltered place to stay dry 😀

It was raining hard enough for people to look at me as if I was crazy.

I was photographing wet tree textures this time.

More photos of wet tree trunks. Their color and character appear so attractive to me and it’s worth getting soaking wet 😀

From Buds to Leaves

Tops of trees invite you to fly!

When I was a child, I always had scraped knees at this time of year! Instead of looking down to see where I was treading I was looking up all time to see bare tree tops. I haven’t changed after all these years.

What can I do? I can’t take my eyes away from the tree tops. I love photographing them just before they put on spring clothes and cover their bare skeleton.

Sometimes I thing I can fly up and shake hands with the countless wooden fingers 😊

My photos of bare tree tops, taken on a rainy, dark and cloudy day (my favorite weather 😀😀)

Just a few more photos.

Confused Nature

While others struggle with shoveling snow, here in Tbilisi we have almost forgotten what snow looks like. Instead of a ‘White Christmas’ we had a ‘Bright Christmas’. You don’t always get what you want or expect!

Nature appears to be completely confused. The trees and vines think it’s still Autumn and don’t want to let go of leaves and fruits, whilst some plants think it’s already spring and time to bloom.

Dating trees in the sky

I love wandering around parks and forests in winter time when the leaves have already fallen off, leaving only skeletons of bark and branches.

When I look up I see trees devoid of leaves reaching out to their neighbors, seeking a date to comfort them from the cold until the warmth of Spring returns their green attire.

There is not much left to wait – spring is nearly here, things will become colorful again!
